you could hit it with some spray paint for a cheap fix, but it will wear if you use it alot. easy to re-do though...
you could scuff it up with some 200 grit sandpaper, but it will still reflect light, it just won't do it so clearly.
if it was carbon i would say put a patina on it, but its not so that's a no-go.
i guess you could sandblast it. you might be able to talk someone in an autobody shop into doing it for you...tape off the edge first or it is going to need some reworking...and i don't know if that would damage the handle.
i guess painting it would be your best bet
