  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

New Knife

Turn about is fair play - my Buck 119 and 120, both sheathed, are stowed in a kitchen drawer as butcher knives!

The ubiquitous 'Old Hickory' block and knives can often be found at garage sales here in the southeast for $1 or less - all rusted, of course, due to the humidity and their carbon steel. Moldy wood, too. I've made nice chip carving knives out of the small, ie, parer knives. Midsize may just make good bushcraft blades. I am not sure how 'good' the CS is, probably not 1095, but decent nonetheless. It's fun to recycle - just be careful - and make certain your shots are current!

This made me laugh, mostly because my Mora's are always ending up in the kitchen, my wife using them all the time. Now I can buy her some steak knives that I can steal to take in to the woods and annoy her back :D
