New Knifemaker

Dave, I hope you got my E-mail on how to set up a PhotoPoint site, it's easy, fast and free.

Dave, your knives and sheaths are amazing!! I hope to see you at next years Blade show in Atlanta. Got any tips for a wannabe folder maker??? Take care! Michael

Everybody,

Thanks for being patient with me. Things have been very busy at work and home. I think I am caught up on all the e-mail I have received. I REALLY appreciate your interest. This has all been happening so fast for me!

As promised I have pictures of just about everything I have done so far - folders and tactical fixed blades. I also created folders with pictures/descriptions/prices of the knives I have currently available.

To take a look go to: http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumList?u=935202

I need to finish blade/knife length spec's on the folders yet - tacticals are done. Should be able to finish that tomorrow.

Please take a look and let me know.

Thanks,

David

Dave, your knives look great. You obviously have a lot of talent. Just promise us one thing, when your career takes off, dont start mass producing knives just to fill orders. And don't lose that quality. When Tom says you make a good knife I believe him. Keep it up.

What's the price range of your folders?

-Johnny

L6STEEL aka Mr Cooper,

You sand bagger you! I decided to find your web site before I respond to your post - you have great looking fixed blades. The integrel two blade folder you are working on looks interesting to. I am not sure how much help I could be to someone like you. I think you should tell me how to improve...

If you are serious about the liner lock question/help I will tell eveything I know so far. e-mail me or we could talk on phone. Should warn you though - I do not have much in the way of tools so you may just laugh at my methods.....

As to the Blade show... that sounds scary and not sure they would let me in... I am not a member of a guild or anything.

David

Very nice.
Great to see new knifemakers with such obvious talent.
Prices are very reasonable.
Good luck( although it does not look like you will need it).

As requested through a few e-mails I have updated the folders with their blade lengths and closed lengths. Then I realized I forgot to say what the folder widths are. Looks like I have more to do... Anyhow the folder widths will vary between .450" for some and the largest width any folder has is .485".

To view the changes my knives are still at:
http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumList?u=935202

I also was asked by a few what the scale material is on the tactical fixed blades (something else I forgot for pic descriptions...). All the tacs have bead blasted black linen micarta scales. It looks mottled because of the linen content and the bead blasting.

Any questions or more importantly critique PLEASE let me know. Post here or e-mail me at shoenberger_knives@yahoo.com

Thanks,
David

Ps - I am VERY excited, I ordered a grinder yesterday! Should see the files and abrassive paper a bit less. Hope I keep all of my fingers...
