New knives for 2015

Well thank you Perrin! This is a 800 hour knife. This is the Mayan calendar and it contains aprox 80.000 to 120.000 microscopical cuts all done by hand. In attached pic you can see the cuts.

So I forgot, it is 80.000 to 120.000 cuts per square inch.

Excellent work. Please post these over in the Custom & Handmade knife section.

Mark, I have tried to post on other sections but this section is the only one that is showing the posting thread button.
Perhaps I am doing it all wrong but I will try to learn how to do it.
Thanks, Mike

Henningson,
Really nice work. Please fill out your profile. We would love to know where you live and a bit about you.

" I have tried to post on other sections but this section is the only one that is showing the posting thread button."

The posting permissions are restricted in some sub-forums to paid memberships, so getting at least a basic membership would be a good thing. With a knifemaker level membership, you can link to your website, post in the knifemaker galleries, and sell in the Exchange. With the high quality of your work, I think a knifemaker membership would be a good idea.

Michael is a wonderful maker and his work is more than outstanding. His methods af construction are just beyond what has been seen in making knives. is just beyond all that has been done. Outstanding a a very small word to use but he is all of that always. Simply the best...

I agree and I believe you would find it beneficial as more collectors hang out there.
You can actually just copy & paste your opening post from this thread.

Your knives are amazing. How long have you been making knives and engraving?

Outstanding work Michael. I really like your pocket clips (and everything else I might add). Are you self taught on the engravings?

Where are you located in Sweden.

Edit: Found your website and figured it out myself:foot: I´m a bit further north in Katrineholm myself.

Hi,
I'll try to answer you all better tonight. I got family chores, kids that must be put to bed and all so.
Anyway I'll start of by saying Thank you all for your nice and fine comments. You really got a nice community going here.
I am going to change to knife maker status and pay the fee, thanks for the advice.
I have been making knives for five years and engraving for about 3 years. I am self taught and have to figure out it all the hard way so I can probably build a car in steel out of all my mistakes.
I have been a probationary guild member for 2 years and hopefully I get voting status this year in Kansas City.
TinyDee how replied to this thread is my best friend. He is a American and I am a swede. Yet we still email etch other every day. He has been my support throughout the years I have been making knives.
Adam, your knives looks great! I will check them out more later. Thanks for your link.
I'll check in later, thank you all.
Mike
Btw, here is another closeup for you.

I truly think Michael's work is beyond outstanding. He has done so many things that not all are aware of in the construction of the knife. His work is truly beyond outstanding. And the engraving, self taught, is simply awesome. I consider him flawless in execution of making his knives. Wonderful knives and fantastic work for sure...
