New knives for me that is. I had a big day yesterday. I received the following;

1- ZT0205KW
2- Kershaw JYDIISG2
3- Ontario Ranger RD-4
4- Cold Steel Pocket Bushman
5- Case Seahorse whittler
6- Case large Gunstock C. Platts & Son

So you can see that I am one more happy camper. All six of the knives came in perfect condition with nary a problem in any of them. On the ZT and the JYD I did give the locks a tad more spring, but that is just me and how I like the lock to be really stiff, and it did not effect the lockup position from where it was before I gave them more resistance.

Briefly, the ZT 0205 makes the third one I have and I now have all versions of it! The black plain, black serrated, and bb plain. The bb is really more of the gray color that you see on the Kershaw line, a ceramic bb I think. It looks really nice though on this knife, and this is the knife I am currently carrying in my right front pocket..

The JYD titanium framelock with SG2 blade steel is awesome. The framelock works perfectly and the blade is sharp, and I do mean sharp! It has the thinnest tip I have ever seen on a knife this size. You just have to see one with your on eyes to see what I mean. Can't wait for my STR deepcarry clip to arrive so I can start carrying this Baddog!!

Ontario Ranger RD-4 is huge! The blade is 5160 steel and is 4.5" long by .0265" thick! Talk about your sharpened prybar will you. It is flat ground and will easily slice paper into thin shredds. The blade style is a clip point and that is what really sealed the deal for me. The blade grinds were near perfect and even on both sides. I also like the black micarta handles, though they were a little boxy, but after removing them and sanding the edges a little they feel much better. Sheath is a nylon with a large clipped front pocket, stiff plastic inside, and MOLLE capable. All in all a very nice piece of knife.

The CS Pocket Bushman is the Pocket Bushman.....what else can I say.

The two Case knives are really nice and since I don't collect a lot of slippies, these were a real treat for me. The whittler has a main blade that is a wharncliff shape, but since this is a two spring whittler, and not three, the main blade operates using both of the springs and the thickness of the main blades tang ends up being .158" thick! It is nicely thinned down from that to make it a real good cutter. It is currently in my left front pocket.

So there you have it. These knives not only hit town, but they also hit my billfold!!:eek::eek::D

How did you do this?

Also congrats on the new knives, all this thread needs now is some pics. :D

Well guy's it's like this, everytime I think I will save up to buy a camera, I instead, always, find another knife I "need"! As for the stiffer locks, I simply disassemble the knife, take the liner/handle that forms the lock, note where the spring comes to rest, and then add more bend to it, maybe a 1/16 to 1/8 inch more bend. I leave the pivot in so that I have a reference as to how much I bent it. It is better to do in tiny increments so you don't add too much. Then reassemble, check lock, smile, put in my pocket, and go from there!
