So the 117 In 5160 is just a leftover from the copper & clad sale ? The Buck site says only 36 made ?I see the ffg blade from the c&c 119 in shokwood custom handles is gone already.
lots of c&c 5160 runs some in custom handles.
also the d2 heritage blade in ironwood and brass a real looker there.
this cleaning out of inventory has made some great stuff.
Yep, I do have a soft spot for Ironwood. Grabbed that right away, then a 212 and eventually another 119 in Cherrywood. I've been debating about one of those from the Custom Shop for more than a year so it just made sense to grab it now.Yep, I pulled the trigger on the D2 Ironwood 119, if the 120 was not 5160 that would have come here also. Just can't stand patina on my cutting blade's, my bad I guess. Will post photos when in hand (hope it's got some nice wood).
Give Buck a call and see if they can add the sheath to your order.Yep, I do have a soft spot for Ironwood. Grabbed that right away, then a 212 and eventually another 119 in Cherrywood. Stupid me forgot to add a brown 112 sheath to the orderThose have been out of stock forever it seems.
naw the blades, as in the ffg 119 and the 5160.....I dont know that but I saw the ffg 420hc 119 blade and I know that was c & c. not that knife as in the handle, but the blade. I also know c&c was the only dealer who sold 5160 classics models. so I expect they had 37 of the blades of that model, and custom made the handles. So the 117 In 5160 is just a leftover from the copper & clad sale ? The Buck site says only 37 made ?
good catch there. snoppy or gator style instead of that strap and belt cut out one everyone seems to dislike. almost want one for just the sheath.Note that the sheath for the 212 is different than what it was when first sold.
I like 5160 and in a 120 size is great, but your no fuller one is spectacular. this new one would be better without the fuller.I passed on this Buckeye 120 offering since I already have one from a 2019 Limited Production release that does NOT have the fuller and has a combo of aluminum and brass pommel/guard/spacers (see below).
