hey guys, I doubt many remember me but I made my first knife about a year ago, I've recently moved back to florida (Jacksonville) and I've got the knife shop set up again finally.

I'll post some pictures of my works in progress when I get home

also another cool thing I've got a friend living with me and my knife making has lit the fire in him to make one himself, so I am really enjoying helping him along with everything I have learned from you guys lurking here for the last few years.

I guess my real purpose for this post is to see if there is anyone in the area who would like to meet up and talk knives and maybe show me their shop setup or come see mine(humble as it is)

looking forward to enjoying my favorite hobby again, its been too long.
 
In Arkansas your are in the heart of knifemaking heaven. The Moran School is in Hope, and there are several really nice hammer-ins there each year. Lots of makers in your region, too.

Take 55 south toward Memphis and 40 southwest to Hope. Four hours drive and you can rub elbows with some of the greats in knifemaking.
 
yeah I moved from Arkansas to Florida :-( got to update the profile, I did visit the Moran school though very very neat!
