Hey Guys, I started forging in May of this year and here is the first batch of forgeries hot off the anvil. These are practice knives full of mistakes and flaws, but that's how I learn. I'm working on batch two currently where I finally figured out how to get straight blades out of heat treat.
The Bowies are 5160 and 8670, Two in maple, and one in bocote. The bolster knives are in cocobolo and bocote. Furniture is copper and nickle silver. Thanks for looking.

Good first efforts. I particularly like the top one in pic #3. What did you use to put that circular spot patina on?

Hey James, those are cool designs, they just look like they need a little finishing and are great first attempts.
