New Kuhkuri (kukri)

Nice chopper! I agree about the traditional handled khukris not being as comfortable but my brother tells me it's because I have "soft" hands. He's a real khukri nut I think he owns about a dozen.
As far as this one goes I really like the forge finish and the scale choice. I think I'll check out this dragon forge. :)

not sure since I don't know what horse mat is but from the looks it's a type of foam rubber mat so I would imagine it would be a comfortable rubberized handle

I like the look of my black and yellow g10 though

rkmoore, sure you should check him out he has the kukri and a cleaving camp knife which is similar to the Rambo 4 knife

he's a pretty cool guy who is willing to customize, plus he didn't charge me extra for the stress hole and pins if you want the same knife ask for one "like he made for toxicavenger" which is my etsy user name

On the subject of handles and pommels, the pommel on SJ's reminds me much of those on typical HI Ang Khola Bowies.

Per the ring on traditional khuk handles, it hasn't been a hotspot for me personally, unless on a chiruwa-style handle where the slabs had shrunken a bit. Otherwise I'd just worry more about rivets and buttcaps digging into my hand. Nothin' a little judicious filing didn't fix though.

it does kind of look alike

I don't know what it is but the handle doesn't bother me on my knife

also do you guys think naming it THE BOSS is stupid I tried to find red white and blue G10 or micarta

You paid the money and had it customized for you, call it whatever you want bro :) I like the raw look

Might get something similar down the road to try out, now that I'm back in Ohio I can go play in the woods to heart's content.

I wish I had more woodland areas where I live but it's a bit of a drive

and bubba if you want check out his ETSY shop he had this and another knife but I'm sure he would make whatever you need he also made this crazy machete for someone else

hacked a lot more branches today for firewood I like that I can cleave a 1 inch branch in a single blow the other thick ones went pretty quick but I could have done a little better

this is my first really good large knife all I had before was a cheap 15 buck kmart machete
