No secret really. I let him know what im interested in doing, or wanting, way ahead of time, and we work it out from there as his schedule dictates. The folding nessie ive been buggin him on for a LONG time, and he happend to make one and offered it to me. :)

I dont know what his wait times are, he is usually pretty busy. I just shoot things his way with no rush, and he does the rest!:thumbup:

It depends on what you want. I've sometimes turned down orders when it's for something I don't really want to make. There have also been times when I wasn't taking orders. Let me know what you want and I'll do my best. Thanks.

Ray is one of my favorite makers. Everything he does is simple, clean and looks useful.
 
I always wonder how Ray seems to make every knife with such clean looking lines. It really is cool that you can tell one of Rays knives just by looking at it without his logo. Great looking blade like all of his designs!
 
Thanks guys. I really really love this knife. In hand it feels quality. I used it today to open up some boxes of brake rotorsin the garage with a buddy and he flipped. Thought it was gorgeous. Its a attention getter thats for sure!! I already want another one.:o

That clip on the sheath even holds it super secure on the waistband with no belt. I wore it playing basketball on friday with adidas shorts. Nobody ever knew it was there.

i think that would work just fine for most folks.. it looks capable of handling just about any woods chores that i would need... you don't need much more that that...:) IMO...

That is a great looking blade by a great maker. I don't have any of Ray's work yet, but I know I will buy one eventually.

Congrats on your new blade!

The folding Nessie is quite a peice of work also

since imitation is the highest form of flattery, how long will it take for a "production" to come out? if i cant get the original i'll get a "repro". damn, its looks GREAT!!!!
