If you are not having frequent run-ins with the law, and do not have a felony criminal background, I would carry whatever knife I felt was needed for what i have to do. Just carry what you want, and don't commit crimes.

Getting caught with a knife of a disallowed length could get me banned from even applying to the bar, much less disbarred completely.

I don't think being forbidden from your entire career is a good tradeoff for carrying something out of spec.

Starting April 1st, we got a new weapons law, now it's illegal to carry folding knives that allow to lock the blade by just using one hand.

Thats to bad. I spend every other summer in Koblenz and I usually carry a Herbertz liner lock while I'm there. Guess I'll be carrying a Victorinox next time.:grumpy:
