Here you go.
Senators John Kerry and John Edwards share our values and goals.
If by "our" they mean their granola-eating, forest locking, gun hating, holier-than-thou, customers, they are right. Their values and goals are pretty much un-American in that the tradition in this country is both the recreational and extractive use of the land. The yuppies that most of these companies sell to, (and LM should have known better as he sells most of his tools unabashed construction types, not latte sipping metrosexuals) do not recognize dual use as the proper role of "public" lands because they think they are the only public that matters.
They make their cities next to unihabitable, and in their spare time attempt, through advocating for their recreational hobbies, to ensure that the only rural economy available revolves around the low cost servicing of their big city weekend and vacation pursuits.
So they ban, like they did in Oregon, hunting cougars and bears using dogs, and then bitch everytime a big cat is staring at them from a tree or they hear a bear outside of the tent at 5AM. They agitate for roadless areas so that logging never again has the chance to spoil their views, but then they bitch about the price of wood products. In a word, they SUCK.
It's not so much that they are "communists." It is that they are something far, far, worse for which no catchy word in English has yet been coined.
