I totally agree with you. And I am always adamant about being a user and not just having knives to collect and look pretty. I do however have one exception (*cough* machax *cough*) and I have a nice smooth coated stamped bk4 that's brand new (because it's a backup of course... not collecting). And it would look great with those scales hanging above my desk. That being said, the price is still really high.
