Bud talked about this in the Hartsfield thread. Being as Lightfoot is not Hartsfield
I thought I would start this thread.
To Bud, thanks for mentioning the knife and yes I received my Knives Illustrated last Friday. Thank you for the offer to replace the Magazine. As usual an excellent issue.
The Mini-Hammer differs from the Hammer only in blade length. The Mini-Hammer has a 4" blade and is double ground.
Interest in tacticalfixed blades seemed to start picking up a year or so ago. I think there were 3 reasons for this:
1)People who already owned numerous tactical folders were looking for something new on the tactical side of the house.
2)Users realized that a folding knife cannot replace a fixed blade in all instances. So many started to buy tactical fixed blades as a "compliment" piece to the folders.
3)Some find that you can actually deploy a fixed blade faster than a folder.
With these factors in mind, I asked Greg to make exclusively for me the Mini-Hammer. It's 4" blade, at this point, seems to be the optimal length for everyday carry.
Additionally, Greg and I came up with the C-4 and the Neck Razor.
The C-4 comes in two configurations the first has a 3 1/4" length X 1" wide blade, BG-42, double ground blade. This a smaller version of the Mini-Hammer. The other configuration is a right hand side grind, Tanto style blade.
Both come in a kydex sheath made by Greg.
The Neck Razor has a 3 1/4" length X 3/4" wide, is double ground, Hammer style blade.
The overall lenght is 7" and the overall length of the C-4 is 7 1/2".
The Neck Razor is a substantial neck knife. What else would expect from Greg.
In addition to this Greg and I are collobrating on a large Camp Type Knife. This should be out in the fall.
Please feel free to email me OFFLINE if you desire pricing info or delivery times.
