New Limited Editions

Moooooooooooooooooooo

I can't say difinatively, but bovine is the generic "bone" material used in most cases if it's not specified otherwise.

Pretty impressed with this fat one.

Gorgeous Skyler. If they would have had accurate photos and descriptions on the site I might have picked one up since it matches my BG42 Vanguard.

The curved handle was a bit of a turn-off for me but seeing Skylers makes me regret deciding not buying one.... too late now.

I was expecting it to be more curved like the one on the website and was originally disappointed in how much straighter Skylers looks to be but after looking at his some more I'm with you and kinda wished I'd pulled the trigger on one too.

Skyler. How does it feel in hand? The handle does look a bit on the hefty side but I sometimes find Buck's handles a little skinny.

MT that's a beauty and BG-42 to boot. Woohoo!

Received my 535 Moose Skinner today. Label on the LE box shows it was born on 5-23-16. For some reason I was expecting it to be a little bigger but it's really a nice size. Everything looks good, it feels good and I believe it will cut good as well. About the only complaint I have to date is that it is a bit had to un-sheath. Don't know it it's the coating or what but it takes some effort to get it out. Of course with anything leather a bit of use will probably ease that issue.

I'm planning to add it to my other Buck "kitchen" blades. With the recurve it won't be a chopper but it will slice nicely and should be great for breaking down primals of rib eyes and such. When this first came out I had it on preorder with Knife Center but got tired of waiting and canceled the preorder to get something else. Can't remember the original sale price exactly but what Buck is selling them for now is less so it worked out in my favor after all. By the way mine is #053 of 250.

P.S. The sun went down on me before I could get any pics of the reverse side.

Reminds me of the sheath that came with the Froe which I greatly dislike. Needs a kydex sheath.

I actually wasn't a big fan of the curved handle in the photo but decided to take a shot anyway and was happy to see how beefy it was. I've never been a fan of the blocky 124 handles but even at how thick this one is it fits the hand great imo. Not that I'll ever use this one. Now if only they'd start putting brass on these...

I bought the Elk 124--1 of 29! Wondering if all 29 will all have a curved handle... Special sheath too.

I've seen 3 different versions so far. Mine has been the fattest but somewhat shorter with the black g10 trim. The others have been like yours and one had a stainless steel spacer by the guard... Sounds like a 124 grab bag!
