We are pleased to announce we have the LionSteel KUR's in stock! They feature a fully contoured G10 or Aluminum handle with a liner-lock and discreet wire clip. The blade is Sleipner tool steel with full flat grind and a rounded spine. The knife feels great in the hand and flips wonderfully with a strong detent and smooth action.


And congrats to LionSteel, the KUR Metamorphosis just won the 2016 Overall Knife of the Year at BLADE!


 
Thank you Tyler and GP for picking out a terrific Kur for me in that lovely earth brown.

And for helping me with my other purchase -- the new Hinderer MP-1.

It's the best Hinderer I have seen by far and one of the best production knives I have owned. It's better built than most customs I have held.

We have everything but the Brown and Metamorphosis handles in stock at the moment. It's my understanding that the metamorphosis model may not be produced anymore due to some problems with the finish.

KUR Metamorphosis with clip had been discontinued in favor of one without clip and with a leather sheath.

So is the issue that the overly tight clip is doing something to the aluminum scales? Do you all think that LionSteel would provide a sheath to those of us who got the earlier clip version? I do love this knife regardless but that clip is tight!!!

I mailed LionSteel requesting a sheath but have not heard back.

GPKinves - Are you all getting in any more LionSteel KUR Flipper Brown G10 Black PVD Blade versions?
 
Hi alphatiger, we will be getting more of the LionSteel Kur Flipper in Brown G10/Black PVD again and currently have them on backorder with LionSteel. Unfortunately, we do not have a solid ETA for a new shipment at this time, but would hope to see them soon. Keep an eye out here on Bladeforums as well as our 'New Items' page for updates :)

Also - RamZar and alphatiger - if you would like a sheath to go with a Metamorphosis originally received with clip, the dealer you purchased the KUR from should be able to help with acquisition if you have not yet heard back from Gianni at LionSteel.
