Specs:

Blade: Mirror-polished D2 tool steel (HRC 61) w/ a tapered tang
Hardware: 416 Stainless guard and Corby bolts
Handle: Sambar Stag Antler w/ red liners
Overall length: 8"
Blade length: 3.5"

Last December I was at the Loveless shop and Jim Merritt kindly explained how they no longer solder and have been "cold-fitting" their guards for the last 14+ years.

I decided to give it a try. The fit is actually a lot cleaner than in the picture, I used a tissue to clean the knife and there was some lint left over in the corners -didn't have any compressed air with me when I took the photo. :)

Nice work

I'm diggin the new touchmark too.

Lookin' good ol' Buddy. Lookin' real good ;) :)

Lookin' good. When you say ""cold-fitting" their guards", do you mean they don't use anything, JB Weld included?

Thanks for the comments!

Ron: The Loveless shop uses a Loctite product to seal the guard. I'd imagine it is very similar to JB Weld. I personally use Devcon "Plastic Steel" Steel Weld epoxy (a lot of "Steel"s in there, but that's what it says on the syringe). :)
