I am looking to add to my existing equipment and am torn between adding a band saw or a drill press. I have about $100 to spend so it looks like HF or Craigslist, but which one is more helpful for a beginner to have?

Eeee... what you want to buy for only 100$ ?

Sorry, I only see industrial grade equipment.

Only very used stuff I see for this budget.

And aobut what is more useful, both.
Bandsaw more like to get Portaband and make table like SWAG, and some nice drill.

I would get a band saw. You can drill with a hand drill but cutting blanks with a hacksaw has got to be......... B O R I N G.

Tough call... IMO, both tools are just about as necessary (for me) as the other, but I don't particularly enjoy spending all day long cutting out blanks, or burning through hacksaw blades at an alarming rate. That said, I also use a drill press for quite a lot as well.
You MIGHT be able to swing both a small benchtop drill press and a portaband (old and well used most likely), but you'll have to shop around and be patient.

Yea I'd go for the drill wood cuts easier with a hand saw and you can sand it to fit

At least with the drill press you won't have CROOKED pins lol

The drill press is one of the least-used tools in my shop.
The bandsaw is one of the most-used.
It's hard to drill a crooked hole in materials that are 1/8-1/4" thick-at least for me.

I'll assume you are making a joke in the drill press offer. If not, please remove the sales offer from your post. Shop Talk does not allow any buying or selling.
