• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

About 55 years ago I was trying to be Jim Bowie and I threw My moms Old Hickory slicer at the barn door and broke the end off. About a week ago I dug it out and put a new tip on it. This may turn out to be my favorite all around knife. It slices like a laser and with the shorter blade just feels like a dream in my hand. I might replace the scales yet but I may not. They are in good shape. Thought i would post this with the talk lately about kitchen knives and primitive knives for survival. This old blade should handle about any chores I would ever need of it.

Wow. I have a newer one, and it looks exactly the same, except for the tip.... Nice to know it will last!
