Here is one that Danson has just completed with a little help from his dad.

I am going to have to get Danson to show me how to do that handle wrap when I see him at the Austin Show

That looks great. I see I am going to have to add another Christman knife to my collection. One from Danson!

Dennis and Greg, thank you. It makes me feel like some people like it. I had entered it in to an art contest but did not even place so your nice words really mean a lot to me.

It sure does a Dad's heart good when his son wants to get in the shop and work with him. It really surprised me when his mom, little brother and sister went to Amarillo for a day out and he chose to stay with me in the shop and drill, grind, and hand sand. Just so there is no misrepresentation, this was a father and son project.(A very proud father)
Danson is very interested in making more knives as he gets them made, we will show more pics. Right now, there's another knife similar to this one with about a 2 1/2" O1 tool steel blade that he has worked on. We are going to put some bolsters and slab side handles on this one so there will be more that he shall learn. This one we will take to the show for sale. I wish you guys could have seen the look on his face when he was reading the great responses that you guys have shown him.

A proud papa,
Chris

I am very serious when I say that I would love to be one of the first to buy one of his knives.

That is a great knife Danson! Congratulations, your hard work does in fact pay off, right?

Keep working and listen to your dad...he knows what he is talking about.

Good luck, hope to one day add one of your knives to my collection.

Very nicely done, Danson…it looks like there’s quite a bit of knifemaking talent in the Christman family. I’d certainly be proud to have a knife like that in my collection; I’d be even prouder if I had the talent to create something like that myself. Keep up the good work, and be sure to let me know if you ever decide to start taking orders!

Congratulations, Danson! Congratulations, Chris! Thanks for the post, George. I know how proud and happy it makes me when my 7 yr. old son wants to hang out in the studio with Dad to learn and help. Keep up the good work and please let us know about the new projects. Danson, please do not be discouraged by not placing in an art contest. I'd bet if any of the judges were knife nuts you'd have walked away with all the honors!

Hey, that could be a new model. Sign me up for one as well. Perfect size and great lines. I love it!
