New makers. Dont quit!

Northridge is supposed to have an entry lvl grinder coming out .

Was thinking if i get busy enough to need more then one grinder id just buy those.....ah still dreaming

Awesome!

Any pointers on a starter grinder? It seems the Craftsman 2 x 42 is discontinued. Thoughts on Dayton/norse 2x42 sanders?

When my work started getting a little popular and was selling I put it on. Dcknives.com has a great tutorial on making your own etcher. That's what I use, and I HIGHLY HIGHLY reccomend going with IMG for your stencil. Patricia is the best and very helpful. Also get their solutions for etching. I still haven't figured out how to price my work lol I don't sell enough knives right now to worry about taxes but I'm sure you could 1099

So did you build your etcher?

If I was to go that route I would 100% go with the black fox grinders economical version. But just build your own man. Biggest expense is the VFD and motor. Theres plans out there for no weld grinder on usaknifemaker and you could even go the 1.5in tube build route. Just buy one piece at a time. I was lucky and had a member from here laser cut a design out and i just had to buy all the wheels, motor vfd etc.
No I didnt build it a buddy built 2 using the dcknives method and gave me one, works great honestly
