New makers I want to know more about

and ordered a Ruth today.

It's the 8" bowie that Terry mentioned before. I'm picking it up at Blade. Thanks for the discussion about it, and mentioning the value of the piece, Terry. I agree that it is fair value, and I look forward to the value going up.

That's a good get Steven - a fine-looking knife it is. I hope he'll let me grope it a bit before he delivers it to you ;) I'm curious as to how that handle design feels in the hand.

I saw a real nice picture of a hunter by Sam Butler on-line which had been sold. I would like to contact the maker about making another one for me but, I have been unable to locate maker's web-site or address with phone number. Any help would be appreciated ;)

I should have mentioned that I tried Brett Gatlin a while back but, he wasn't taking custom orders due to his backlog. :( You never know though, I could get lucky at a knife show or snag one from the on-line dealers.
