  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

New Manix 2 FFG

The finish is inconsistent. Some are standard Spyderco satin finshes, and some are between a bead-blast, and a satin. I have had two of them, the first one was standard satin, the new one I just got is almost a bead-blasted finish. If you ask Spyderco, they say they don't bead-blast the Manix 2 FFG. ???? Its not a big deal, I was just curious, if anyone else noticed the finish is different or not standard. I still like the knife, and I'm not dogging Spyderco.

There's nothing wrong with the finish of your Manix. I had one briefly, and no it's not satiny like a PM2 or Military. The finish on the lightweight Native 5 blade is the same as the Manix so it's not exclusive to this model.
