Unfortunately, I did not exaggerate in the slightest. I got the knife first thing in the morning and spent all day trying to break that sticky lock. If you bought yours new, I'm sure you know how rough the action is on those knives when you first get them, correct? Well, After opening it all day, the action started to become slightly more smooth. That lead me to start flicking the knife open a little bit. Bear in mind, the lock was so uncomfortable to disengage that my thumb was sore as crap from doing it all day. A few of the times I flicked the knife open somewhat forcefully, (like I do any other knife I own with no problems) I just could not disengage the lock at all. Since I was at work, I just stuck a screw driver in there and that fixed it. It takes very little effort to disengage a frame lock with a screwdriver because of the leverage. I have never in my life had to do this to any knife.
Your knife was almost perfect, that's great. Mine wasn't. I think people have a right to know when this sort of thing happens. I still like the design of the knife, and I still want to get one. I'm just not sold on the quality of the build any longer. Greg Medford's name was signed on the paperwork that came with my knife, and it had really bad centering and an unacceptably sticky lock. That says something to me.
