Hi
This is my first forum, be gentle!
I e-mailed Uncle Bill for my first Khukuri yesterday and dealt with another forum member, Randy Rawson, as well this morning. Never before have I been treated with such respect and regard.
Uncle Bill: thank you for accepting my order COD!!! This to me is unheard of and much appreciated! I promise to relate my experience with all of my friends!
Randy Rawson: Sent my Khukuris with simply a word that the check was in the mail! Incredible!
If anyone else is like these two gentlemen ( as it seems by all of the posts and ensueing support) then I have joined into a community that I am very proud of! I can't wait.
Yesterday I had no khuks, now I have 4 on the way.....(lucky me).

Thank you.

Roger

Welcome Roger. Just starting on this forum with four khuks on the way already? Boy, you must have a mutant strain of HIKV! ;) But don't worry, its a pleasant disease. About the worst thing to look forward to is a chronically empty wallet.

Bob

Sure glad to hear of another guy coming in with an already advanced case of HIKV as we already have one too many "researchers", as in "one" is too many!!!!;) :D

What is HIKV?

Himalayan Imports Khukuri Virus = HIKV And anyone who makes his 1st post in a forum ever that already has 4 khukuris on the way to him definitely has HIKV!!!! :D

Welcome to the Cantina, Rog, and the two neighbors I mentioned up there in CO are typical of the kind of folks you find on this forum.

Great forumites make a great forum.

Roger,

Welcome to the forum of forums, where never is heard a discouraging word, and the coyotes howl all day.

Regarding HIKV - there is no known cure at this time. You will learn how to deal with acute episodes, though it sounds like you have severe onset of the disease already. Unconciousness is the usual treatment for flare-ups.

There is a rumor that Uncle Bill has Gelbu (General Manager) send over fine dust from grinding at BirGhorka, which he then encloses with every khukuri shipped from the HI Compound in Reno. Exposure garauntees contractng HIKV, and will aggravate the symtoms in existing cases. This rumor is not confirmed at this time, and should be investigated at the research facility in Florida.

Again, fear not, and welcome.

Finn, that post just may have the FBI knocking on our door! It's the magic stone and standard polishing rouge folks!!!! HIKV is a mental state caused by something yet unknown.

Hello...

You got 4?!

Welcome to the forum. This place is like having roadside assistance for khuks.

You got 4?!

What did ya get?

Roger,

Welcome. This is indeed a good place, and one I'm happy to be. I know just how you feel...

while I'm at it, I want to thank Finn for helping me finally get a GRS. Thanks, Pat.

Uncle, I was thinking maybe the CDC.

NOW HEAR THIS! ALL FORUM "MONITORS":

The rumor regarding the packaging of fine metal dust from grinding knife blades in a foreign country as a marketing tool is totally without foundation and should be disregarded.

Welcome to our band of merry Khuk Knuts!!! You're off to a good start with 4 khukuris which I believe is more than that "researcher" Tsimi has purportedly stated on more than one occassion. By the way, if you'd like to gain indepth knowledge of this nefarious, self denying character, just read the Phantom of The Khukura thread....;) :D

Once you've successfully netted your first UBDOTD, consider yourselt as having passed the final ritual of passage into fully fledged HIKV.

Again, welcome!!!;) :D

Probably not Bruise.
It's just that Roger isn't used to dealing HIKV, we forumites and being an H.I.Junkie as yet.;)

Roger,

we usually try to warn first timers about this dreaded desease. But, unfortunately we can see it's too late.

I am working on a cure that involves the strategic placement of electrodes, and the sacrifice of all available khukuries to an undisclosed address in South Florida. I should have it ready soon so keep that in mind in case the pain grows too strong.
