My feedback is....WOW!!!. I love them both, but I particularly love the first one. What fantastic lines and the fit & finish looks to be outstanding. I am very impressed.
I had the pleasure of sitting next to Fred at this years Knifemakers Guild Show. Not only is Fred a nice guy, but he makes great knives. Glad that you made it over.
Mine too. I noticed that you have quite a few other great looking knives on your website. Do you have descriptions of the knives anywhere, or just photos?
Keith,
I'm working on the discriptions. Knife makers should be born with a couple of extra hands considering the many task involved. E.t.a. on those disc. around the first of Oct.

Fred, I'm gonna be truthful here.... I don't like the handle butt/exposed tang/lanyard hole thingie. It kinda looks awkward and/or possibly uncomfortable. I do however LOVE the first one. Excellent blade shape on both of them. I love the pic that DylanD posted also.
Very tough to critique something objectively if it dosent particularly 'float your boat' The work however is undeniably superb, but its hard to give an honest opinion if there isnt a close up to accompany the full shots.
One suggestion is to get some good quality (Hi-resolution) pictures up.
Temper,
I'm fairly comfortable with my knife makling skills but my photo and computer knowledge is very small. I'm working hard to improve these. Hopefully you'll see upgrades in this area soon. Does the handle Temper, come from the term used in the processing of steel or somewhere else? Thanks for your input, Fred
Mongo,
I'm big on truthfullness and I'm pleased you like the blade designs. I do wish I could place both of these large knives in your hand. I believe you would find both to be light and beautifully balanced. Thanks for the straight up talk.
Fred
Fred , I am a new maker myself , so if my opinion means anything , I think they are superb. I especially like the second one with the unique thong hole. An all around great job.
Brent,
I've made this knife four different times after it appeared in the Blade's knife makers showcase. Each one slightly different. That hand made thing you know. I left the radical, swoop, on the handle end hopeing some idea would come to mind before I was tempted to saw it off. "Without deviation from the norm progress is not possible" There are some better pic's on my web site.
Fred
