New Member- Fox river or Bravo one

I was quite interested in the Bravo 1 also and then I saw what the tang looked like. I'm sure its still a tough knife, but it makes me wonder a little.

I’ve owned both, and I have decided that in a blade that size the Fox River works for me.

The Fox River model I like best is the Fox River Recurve.

Here are a few photos on mine:

If you have smaller hands, (as many have already stated) the FoxRiver is a fine knife. Another knife in this size is the Northstar, which I prefer to the FoxRiver, for bushcraft. The FoxRiver feels alot like a kitchen knife in my hands. Now the Bravo1, thats a knife. The grind is more than perfect for carving, its about the same as the foxriver, just a wider blade, and the handle is so much better, that Its not even close in my book. BRAVO1 all the way.

Thanks, everybody for the pics and the reviews. The antique ivory micarta looks pretty good. I was lookin at a bad pic on another web site.

Soooo is batoning a touchy subject around here?????

No, we all get along great around here, so there isn't any touchy subjects for the most part.

However we are all individuals with different oppinions as you can clearly see in your feedback on these two knives.:)

I was just busting chops. I tend to do that;)

I have no clue on the spelling by the way, but we're not too picky.....

no not at all they are just playing with ya.the reason i go with the bravo. i like the spin jipping on it. to have your hand slip up on to the blade would ruin yur day. i usaly have a busse with me and i am spoiled to the choil. the FR is plenty tough and they have the if you break it they fix it warrenty so no worries but dont go chopping on cylnder blocks:D you will get flak for that.

good thing to if they where picky on spelling i would be bannned:p i cant spell . like tony says we are all diff and that part of what this place is as long as your not closed minded you will learn alot from these guys god knows i have.

I have used the Bravo-1, the Fox River and the Aurora.
My vote, hands down, is for the Aurora.
The Aurora was developed and is built as a bushcraft knife.
For my size 9 hand the Aurora has a more comfortable handle than the Fox River.
That having been said, you cannot go wrong with any of these knives.
One warning, I don't know anyone who owns only one Bark River Knife for very long.

Thanks for every bodies help , I think I'm gonna like like it here with all the battoners and non battoners.:):)(i'm about positive those aint words):confused: Seems like a really good crowd with alot of knowledge, happy to be here.
