After having a good look around, it seems like I'll spend most of my time here.

Thanks all for the incredible wealth of info posted in this place; it's been fascinating to read.

I've been a fan of old timey knives for years, and use both them and modern varieties at work and play.

Just ordered a single blade, ebony #15 of this GEC and can't wait to get it.

Reckon it will displace my Case small Saddlehorn for a good while.

Anyway, hello and nice to be here.

Welcome. This subforum is one of the friendliest and most helpful forums around.

You'll need to edit out the link in your post though. Bladeforums is partially supported by dealers/vendors that pay for the privilege of having their companies represented here. As such, posting links to dealers that don't pay for exposure here isn't allowed.

Hi there Strop, indeed a great knife, you chose well, its good to see you here, and believe me you will "meet" some seriously nice folks here.

Howdy. We don't link to dealers who don't have BF dealer memberships. Dealer memberships pay a large part of the cost of running BF, so we try to give them their money's worth. I replaced the link with a picture of the knife you bought.

Good looking knife. Congrats on that one.

Greetings and a great choice in the #15. It is an eye opener of a knife and will set the bar way up there...

Welcome aboard, and good choice. I have yet to enter into the world of GEC, but those guys have been calling my name!

Welcome aboard. You have taken the first step on a very addictive journey.

Welcome, Strop.

... Can't believe that user name wasn't already taken, but good on you for grabbing it-- I like it!

Great choice, the bareheaded ebony #15.
