Just a note to say hello. I am soon to be retired and will expand my knife meking hobby. Have been reading here for some time. Since I live in Hot Springs, AR, I hope to go to class on forging soon. Will try to attach picture of my second knife: O1, cocobolo, nickel silver and buffalo horn.

That looks great, especially for a 2nd knife. What are the dimensions? It's hard to get an idea of scale from a pic.

The blade is about 6.5 inches long. I gave my first one to a friend to beat up for testing. So far he likes it. This one I will keep.
Thanks for the responses.

Welcome Chip!
I do stock removal but did spend a week at the school in Old Washington for a class about slipjoint folders. I can sincerely recommend attending class there. You will likely enjoy it alot and learn from some of the best in the craft.

Hello & welcome Chip, I too just started forging.
knife looks great, won't be a hobby long, with your
skills, fulltime soon.

I would suggest just one thing. Trade this knife for the first one. Get that first one back. I let my first one go and have regretted it ever since!!!

Your second knife looks great. Enjoy your retirement and enjoy your newly developed disease of knifemaking!

Welcome to our little group.
