Hi, nice to find a site about knives. I have never built a knife from scratch before and it's one of those things I've always wanted to try. I thought I would try the stock removal method first. What would be good metal to start with? I was thinking of using an old file or a thin car or trailer leaf spring. Any advice you could give me would be appreciated. Thank You
