I have the Schrade 250T (usa) which is a two blade version of your 1250T and it was always one of my favorites.

Also have the SOG Seal Pup Elite purchased when it first came out years ago. It's a pretty good knife, but I never really liked the plastic handle. Have the kydex and leather sheaths for it.

Anyway, welcome to the addiction and enjoy.

Thanks so much for the welcome. I'm totally addicted to knife collecting. I do have a question tho. Reading up on collecting I'm led to believe I must find a theme for my collecting not just buying what I like. Do I need to follow any particular theme to make my collection valid?

Seriously? - Hell NO !!! (follow your heart dude... you'll never go wrong)

That's what I thought RobME. but if you Google knife collecting different sites suggest following a theme. I just typically buy what I like. I'm tending towards tactical knives but I do love a really good folder too haha

If I collect any knives at all, it will be traditionals and the "theme" is simply "traditionals" which is not too limiting. I tend to just refer to my pile of knives as an accumulation rather than a collection. I have few illusions that something I own will be worth a lot of money 20 years from now. I have maybe a half dozen or so usa Schrade knives that some might consider a collection. Not me however.

In the firearm area, I do collect and there is a controlling theme. But I also buy stuff I just like and there is no theme other than a dominance of 22LR firearms. I have been getting into 22 rifles again after being pretty much a handgun person for a good while. I shoot the rifles. No collecting unless I found a really nice (as in nearly perfect condition) Colt Lightning rifle in 22. So, I have both a collection and an accumulation.

Cool thanks for that info. Much appreciated. I'll just keep buying what I like then :-)

Here is how it worked for me with guns.... I bought what I liked for years. I had a preference for Colts and chose them over S&W products. Years pass and all of a sudden my $200-$500 Colts are worth thousands. Welcome to collecting. :D

Thanks Anaries. I've got only around 8 or 9 blades but the Extrema Ratio is the one most people like from first glance. It's a pretty knife and fairly weighty which I like in a folder. Can't wait to see some pics.

I like the weighty ones too!
