I couldn't find the category were new members check in.....?

Ladies and gentlemen of the blade community, I am a new member, and looking forward to engage in intellect conversation, I've been on the sidelines couple years now, when I pull up reviews for knife I may be interested in or just curious, this form always pops up, so from the sideline so I can get an idea, you have created a excellent database, for other people to include myself, which serves as a, decision-maker on whether to get that knife or just general information......

And for some reason I didn't realize it, perhaps I was in denial, I am a knife collector, my wife has asked me to seek some sort of addiction therapy, lol....
Anyway as I was filling out the profile as I was signing up for membership, the question was what is your favorite knife, I found it difficult to answer, because in my collection, it wouldn't be there if I didn't like it, lol.....
So let me get caught up, there's so many times I wanted to post, but couldn't because I wasn't a member, forgive me, if I follow up on some past topics....
Looking forward to introducing myself to all of you.....
Thnx's.....

Hello and welcome. I feel sure you can find support here for your sickness. Just take it one day at a time and get ready to empty your wallet. :D

LoL...
Thnx's Gas man, I will be sure to inform my; Chief social, and financial director, (AKA) My Wife.....
LoL.....

115Italian, I'm at a slight disadvantage for the moment, I'm trying to figure out how to post pics.....
But in my folding category; Case, USA Scharade, Weidmannsheil, Satt & Morgan, parker Edwards, a half a dozen of David yellowhorse on Buck frames.....

My fixed blades I don't consider collectible;
But I have a Cutco/Ka-Bar joint venture K- bar, Buck Kilinga, I have this domestic steel Bowie, and I bought years ago, I put it on my Western Rigg, with my old single action Colt Army 45 Long Colt pistol, I used to be equestrian; mounted, I owned a horse and a mule, and I used to pack the local mountains here in Southern California,.

Anyway I can't find any manufacturer's name of artist signature, and have no clue of its origin, what is Damascus steel with a buffalo horn handles, I'm kinda of suspecting in Pakistani....?
don't laugh, recently purchased a, Buck Selkirk, (love it) at the time I had no clue it was made in China, in fact when I did my research, it was this forum, that I learned of its origin, but with that said, when I picked it up and held it in my hand, I felt this connection, (Had to have it) after all it is made to Buck standards....
And my K- bar knife in its vertical carry, makes it a pain in the ass when I'm on my kayak, getting in and out, I was always fiddling with it, but the Buck Selkirk, in a horizontal carry, was a great relief......
I've got some old boxes laying around in the attic let me go check and see what I got up there......

Hi Fusilier,
Sounds like you will find lots of kindred spirits here and on the other sub forums such as the Buck forum and the traditional.
Hold on to your wallet and enjoy the ride!

oops my bad, I failed to mention my Axe & Crosscut saws,
I've been tinkering around with restoring old axes, Crosscut saws are a whole different category.....

Welcome aboard!
As many have said, this is a friendly but expensive crowd. Many will agree that you can get as much performance from a $12 opinel as a large sebenza, but most will suggest the sebenza.
I hope you have deep pockets, or a strong sense of discernment. You will need it.

About catching up on old posts, I would suggest you create a new thread and link the older one in your initial post. This will give the masses a thread to post in while not bringing up older threads.
Some people will reply to someone in the thread that hasn't posted in 4+ years, and it can get a bit confusing.

Very interesting list. Hanging around here will make that list grow. I think you are going to enjoy it around here.

This seems like a good place to introduce myself since I am way too lazy to start a new one:) hello fellow knife addicts my name is Joe and I have been collecting since January of this year. Currently I have a delica 4, para 2, recon 1, kizer, and a mora. I have always enjoyed cutlery and just recently discovered the world of folding knives and I have to say that wow! It is a expensive hobby. My hopes of joining this forum is just to join the community and have. Place to interact with everyone that shares the same passion or sometimes addiction;) thanks for reading everyone

Welcome friend. Nice to have another member into restoration of old things. I have not restored any knives yet but I have done a 40 year old rifle for my stepson that was his grandfather's and a Mosin-Nagant for a friend that was in really rough shape.
