Welcome. Be ready to spend lots and lots of time here now that you ventured in. There are pro"s and con's for each model, but they are mainly based on personal preferance. I had a 7 first, then got a 2 years later. The 7 has been with me on multiple deployments, but I use the 2 much much more back here. If I had to give you a definate answer......I say go with the 2. The rest of the Becker Family has a tendacy of follwing shortly behind.

Awesome work tommythewho, the bk2 with the yellow liners looks amazing, i like the lines in the wood.
 
BK-7 gets my vote as probably the best one to take into a combat zone. It IS the Combat/Utility model after all.
