I think the elitist group that hates newcomers should just be left alone with each other and newbees should go to the more friendly forums. IMHO. I've had it with these snobs.

I wonder how many "other forums" get the high percentage of 13 and 14 year old kids that we get. And the ones we get often are out to prove how tough they are. It leads to a number of strange questions and opinions. It also leads to a certain cautiousness on the part of the regulars. The reguars tend to hold back until they figure out if the poster is legit, a 14-year old poser, or a troll. We get them all.

I agree that the original reason for this thread was to collect some basic information that could be shared with newcomers. If it was not perceived that way, I am sorry.
