New Microtech Currahee Crosshair

I would be down for a plain edge version, hopefully someone will have one in stock soon.

I just Bought the Crosshair in Plain Edge! Almost ALL of them are Black Melonite QPQ blades, either plain edge from the factory, or that F*&%ed up double Partial serration, which I can't stand either, mostly P. Serration. A LOT of the listings are listed incorrectly as Melonite QPD, of which I don't believe there is any such thing.... I'm going to get a Full Serration along the Top Edge, about an inch back from the point, or just leave it alone. Camouflage from MT, is a black blade, with an Olive Drab Green Handle and Kydex sheath. That'll work for me! Those pictures above, from Idealsupply of the Green/Tan Woodland Camo Pattern are 1 of a kind knives. They have ONLY 1 Of Each, and ARE NOT Expecting more, so If you want one, GRAB IT Now, for $275 a piece. The Black will run you $250, and last I heard, they still have the plain edge in stock.

I've been looking for almost a week solid, gathering as much information as I can about the new Crosshair, ie.. the old Currahee, but instead of D2 steel, they're supposed to be using S30V. I've gotten tons of Pictures too. I did see one P.S. with the M.T. Claw Logo on it, it went for almost $400. You can pick the Straight Black ones up for as little as $210. I paid $225 Delivered for the M.T. "Camo" version. I have also seen one Crosshair in Digital Camo, a Drk Grn/Lt. green/tan version, P.S., there is one on Ebay right now. Bottom line: Google: Microtech Crosshair; M.T. Crosshair Melonite QPQ D/E; and lastly Google: M.T. C.H. Melonite QPD D/E, and start making CONTACT. The blades are out there, and Every Day, I see More and More listings going under Microtech Crosshair. This is a Tear your guts out Battle Dagger, Meant and Designed for 1 purpose, and right now the Biggest Purpose is in Iraq and Afghanistan. It's not an OTF Toy, it's an In Your Face Blood shedder. Also check out the CRKT HissHou: 13" of Steel to pin your enemy's heart to the wall or remove his head from his shoulders.
Nasty weapons, but consider coming home without your legs and balls, or not coming home at all.

According to Annie at NewGraham, Microtech is only making the serrated edges for the moment...:(

I just picked up a new variant. The primary edge is plain and the top edge is serrated nearly all the way to the tip! Wicked sharp. Plus its in OD green.

Had one given to me as a gift. The sheath is made by Blade Tech. It's a friction sheath and the fit is outstanding. I couldn't get the knife to fall out. The blade steel is S30V as stated. It was purchased at BLADEHQ. No idea about the cost. I live in Utah, and they have always taken care of me.

Even the double serrated has enough plain edge to be advantageous. Like the BM Rukus combo edge. The blade is long enough to perform as a plain edge. I'll take it up in the mountains when it thaws out a bit. Titanium in leg gets very cold in the winter.

The handle is made from the same material as their rifles. I have larger hands and it fits well. Non-slip. The quality appears to be very good.

At Blade West, MT had one that was plain edge on the bottom and fully serrated on the top edge. I want that one. The just had it on display, none for sale at the show. It is a pretty beefy knife. They are going for just a little over 200 from a number of dealers. That is a good price for this knife and sheath. IMHO.

That is the same one I want. The Serrations on top and Plain edge bottom is both functional and appealing to the eye.

Where did you purchase it if you don't mind our asking?

The guys at my local knife shop Northern Knives got a pre-release. Coolest damn knife. Extremely useable...cant wait for spring/summer, gonna give it a good workout.

Here's some pics of the full serration version of the knife I just got in the mail.

I love this knife but I am torn between this and the double serrations. This one seems to be more functional but I love the look of the double serrations.

I also greatly appreciate that it comes with the lanyard. It has a pretty heavy "bead" or metal band at the end of it.

I am not familiar with working with lanyards, so I doubt I'll remove it although I'd kind of like to.

My guess is you just cut it and apply it to the handle for better grip (if you'd like) or tie it to your wrist then burn the ends?

Anyone have advice on this?

Also I notice that these knives come with two carry locking mechanisms on the back of the kydex. The one I have is this one.

But then theres this one. I am unsure which is better and which is the newer version. This on looks like it could secure better.

Hope the pics help.
