I thought this one would make a nice heavy duty field blade. 5 1/8" blade, 9 7/8" overall, 3/16" thick, and 1 1/2" tall at it`s widest point. Handles are contoured black micarta, left slightly rough for a better grip. Similiar to the Long Clip Hunter, but taller profile.

Pair that with a small bird/trout size knife and you've got a great setup.

That looks great.

Very nice....not the sort of blade needed by myself but great work none the less !!!!

Sending pics to a friend of mine who loves your work, and is a huge bowie fan. You may have an order rolling in from him soon.

Good stuff John.

Oh yeah - great stuff. I like how the blade drops below the handle forming a bit of a guard. How does it feel on the index finger when it contacts the blade? Maybe a little rounding of the corners at the ricaso would help, or maybe it isn't needed at all.

Last question, what is the balance like of this one compared to a larger kephart? Just wondering how the clip alters its weight distribution.

A fine looking knife and I like the pair of them together as well!

I was telling my girlfriend while hiking this evening that I wanted to get one of your blades a bit bigger than my Hiker. Maybe I can try to be sure she sees this post. I think it's a great looking blade.

I`m going to make this one part of a series, with blades up to 8" long.
