This one was inspired by my daughter as a back up for LEO`s, hers has a black micarta handle. I see no reason why it would not work well in the outdoors. It`s made from 3/16" O1, 1 1/4" at it`s tallest, with a 2 3/4" cutting edge, 6 1/4" overall. I put rosewood handles on this one. I plan on doing some of these in 1/8" and 3/32" stock. Let me know what you think.

Thats a sweet looking knife. I bet it will serve well in the bush, and on the street. Id like to get my hands on one of those for sure!
 
Wood really adds a new dimention to your knives John. Rosewood looks good too! I hope to see more JK Knives around with wood scales.

You should see the lacewood I have coming :eek: It`s sweet, the guy I buy my wood from sent a sample with my last order, I ordered some yesterday.

That Rosewood looks like there is a nice hunting rifle somewhere that matches it. Maybe a little typical but Osage is a good wood for humidity and it looks bad ass!

Osage is my favorite handle wood. That rosewood has great grain in it. I dont think ive ever seen lacewood before. I am curious to see what it looks like.
 
excellent looking knife- I'd definitely go for the 1/8 and 3/32 on those. Osage is a great wood to work with, though it burns easily under any power equipment. The rosewood looks excellent. I like lacewood for handles, though it's probably the lightest (weight) wood I've used. At that size, you should be able to pick up some cocobolo and wenge pieces from Luke Sheridan pretty cheaply, too.
