Hey everyone!
I thought I would share some pics of a new design I just finished up. I am calling this one the "Kuzuri" or the Wolverine. Yes I am a nerd when it comes to naming my models.

This one is basically the same blade profile as my Oregonto, but I stretched it out, added some sori and made the handle more hourglass shaped. This is the largest knife I have done in the grind/finish style. It's around .275" thick w/ a 8.5" blade. It is a nasty battle blade, that is razor sharp. Like most of my blades in this style, I take it down to around .005" on the edge before sharpening. This gives it a wicked edge that is easier to maintain and more durable than a full zero grind.

The sheath is of course a Hartsfield style, lined in kevlar and wrapped with some of the best shark skin I have seen.

I hope people like it, I sure do and wouldn't mind this being a staple model of mine.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks very much guys! I really do like it. I think this blade style really shines at this length. Might be a style I send Joe P. and he can do a 10pc order of....

Here is a video I did showing that even though it is a thick/narrow blade, it will cut extremely well. This is normally a test for laser sharp/thin kitchen knives. It was kind of a joke between me and my brother from another mother Mathew Gregory, as he did the same cut with a sweet little parer on a grape. But it shows what one of these can do when ground properly.

Gorgeous work Ben, should definitely be a staple in your shop - so I can save up and order one :-)

This is impressive considering the thickness it has.
Keep the great work and different styles! My personal favorite so far!

kevlemarin- This is how correct geometry cuts. Thick, has nothing to do with it, as you can see.
