Good afternoon,
Today I have a new model available for sale. It is my new Wilderness Hunter model. I wanted to add a model that excelled in hunting and general outdoors tasks. There is enough belly on the blade to work well with skinning, but not too much to get in the way of other camp chores. With a 4 1/4" inch blade and 9 1/4" overall, in my opinion it is the ideal size for this type of knife. The handle is full size at 5" and is fully contoured to be very comfortable. I extended the scales down to the tip of the choil and contoured them to match to keep bloody hands out of the blade. It also allows for a more secure grip.
The blade is flat ground and has been given a 2000 grit finish to highlight the lightly etched hamon. The flats are 600 grit satin. Stabilized, figured walnut scales, with red spacers and stainless pins round out the handle. The sheath on this one is hand carved and tooled. It has a compressed leather center section that has been epoxied inside at the edge to greatly reduce the likelihood of a poke through. The leather is 9-10oz and is setup for horizontal and vertical carry. A lot of time went into this one. Thank you for looking, Jeff

Jeff,

That looks awesome. It looks like the bigger brother of your Sidekick EDC. I couldn't tell 100% from the photos, but is there jimping on the spine?

Thanks,
Michael

Thanks Michael, I do have some decorative filework at the thumb area of the spine. I put some rounded cuts in it to break up the smaller straight lines. Jeff

Jeff.......another great offering!

You do beautiful work, yet produce very useful designed 'working' knives, as well.

Congrat's!

Thanks Westmonster and Magnumb. Thank you for the compliments. I design all my knives to be "working"knives, regardless of the level of finish each one has. I am also of the belief that a good sheath is almost as important as the knife. Especially considering that the knife will spend most of its time in it and keeps you safe while doing it. It raises the cost of the package, but to me it is well worth it. This knife can come with a more basic sheath if desired for a reduced rate. I am also doing a small batch of these in ATS34 coming up if anyone wants on the list. They will be in the 250.00 range. Thanks again,Jeff

I would love this knife in a more basic plain leather sheath. Is that still available?
