new models for 2012?

I'm a little surprised you'd put anything out before it goes to production given the recent event with the 777.

Hopefully theres still some ZT's the Kershaw is willing to unveil at SHOT, I would hate for Microtech to ruin my prototype drooling :D
Would you put it past him to copy.....again? Im not sure, but hopefully it never has to play out.

Don't let that get in your way Thomas, i still think you should have that pdf up by Monday ;)
 
Any chance the deal with The Fellas is up and the Skyline fixed blade will be a regular item soon? If they would at least make it available on their website I'd pick up some now instead of next year when I next get in to their store.

Sad indeed. A snip it from another thread.

Between getting knockoff'd by smaller wannabe brands, and hearing it about delivery times from upset customers, I feel more confident about changes to our approach, both with First Looks here, and even at Shows like SHOT and Blade. We've looked within our new offering business model and realize the early release of images, proto's, and spec's cause eye rolling, sarcasm, and complaints. This overshadows our overall good intentions and enthusiasm.

At SHOT next month no new USA branded ZT or Kershaw will be introduced. This is sad and boring IMO, but again it's a new approach for us in 2012. When we show it, we'll be ready to ship it.

It's funny how good intentions create bad situations. Lesson learned.

It'll be up, but it's a new year and a new approach so don't be too disappointed in the new USA offerings.

There is more new and exciting to come in 2012, you just can't see it. :)
 
I support the decision Thomas! I don't like it, but it make's sense, and will result in less headaches. But I will write it in print now, that I will NEVER own a Microtech product. Came ever so close, but with this and their customer service issues, they can keep their fancy knives. I just wish we would be able to band together enough to hurt their pockets. Look forward to seeing the catalog. Have a great weekend.
 
Well there's two of us who will never own a Microtech product Bolt, is that close enough to banding together? Seriously, after seeing what they shamelessly did to the 0777 I was pissed. Combine that with the fact that I think their folder designs are ridiculous and overpriced and I have no desire for Microtech products.
 
I welcome the company EBHM4, but I doubt we would even make Tony at Microtech smirk at his computer screen. I have been collecting knives for many a years now, and I have sold off knives from arrogant, pompous companies no matter how good they were, and I will not send my hard earned dollars to people who will walk as if they are above others, and blatantly copy the designs of others. If I find the need for an OTF in my collection, there is always the HK. Choices lead to consequences, and Tony's choice has led to a consequence that will hurt the community of those of us that love and collect Kershaws. It would be nice to see some of us in the knife community make some different choices and let Tony feel the lack of support in his wallet. I will stay with Kershaw and Spyderco as my top knife companies. At any given time you are answered or greeted by the owners or head team members in the company. They care, they listen, and they value their customers. That is where I will send my money and my recommendations.
 
I love Kershaw and Spyderco's presence on these boards too! At least that's not going anywhere any time soon.
 
I know this is off topic but I can't find a Kershaw or ZT beanie anywhere, just Spyderco and I don't even own any of their knifes. Its cold outside. TIA.
