I wanted to show off some of the new models I got in with Monday's shipment.

First, here's the silver handled bhojpure:

Of course, the handle is silver plated brass. The blades on these are exceptionally heavy. Chakma and Karda are also silver plated. Price: $99.00 (ten bucks more than the brass handled version of the WWII). I think I'll call this one the Deluxe Bhojpure.

Second, here's the new 20 inch Ang Khola:

The knife alone weighs 3 pounds, and is 5/8 inches thick at the thickest point (with the thickness extending down the length of the blade quite a ways). I chopped a bit with this thing yesterday, and whoa! Price: $99.00 plus shipping for the first 3 (forumite intro special), and then it's $109.00 thereafter.

I'll post more as I get the pictures ready (I've still got several, including a couple of one-zies and two-zies).

I love the silver! Wahoooo. That's really pretty. Now if you could only get sheaths that looked as good as the one I redid.

Yep...definately need some dragons there.

Seriously that is on very, very pretty knife. Is the blade scrolling inlaid in brass like the regular B? I hope so. Now I just have to get my cheap self to believe I really need another knife. If I do THAT is the one! Did I mention I like the silver?

Shiro,
Craig can do a pretty nifty scabbard to go along with the silver handle if you want him to:

The scabbard has lions and unicorns, the dragons are on the blade.

thaxs for the nice pic B. Do you have a bigger rez one? I'd love to see more detail on the blade and scabbard. it looks like a beauty. It it wouldn't be telling can you tell me how much it set you back with the scabbard?

Shiro,
Sorry, that's the only pic of the scabbard I have. All my spare change seems to go into knives (mostly khukuris) instead of cameras. That was a special order, and Craig just sort of added up the parts I wanted (18" sirupati, kothimora scabbard, engraved blade, brass handle + silver plating) and came up with a total that was about $175 if I remember correctly. I think the package looks like it should cost considerably more (I'm proud of my special, in case you couldn't tell

).

P.S. There's a pic of the dragons on the blade on Craig's website.

Shiroikuma: Berk was right about the price, and you were right that your sheath making talents would definitely augment the silver bhojpure. Yes, it does have brass inlay, and they are some of the straightest and cleanest blades I've seen. But then again, the kamis that do the metal handled khukuris always seem to be a notch above the rest.

Berk: Everybody's going to be jealous of that blade (including me) - the only one like it.

thanxs for the kind words Craig. Yes that really is a beauty Berkley. I'm jealous! I'd be almost afraid to use it though because of the silver plating. I'd worry that it would get chiped or scratched and I couldn't fix something like that. I'm going to look for the dragon picture on your site.

Hey Craig, In the newsletter you said something about some smaller Khukuris you received. I'm curious about how small, and how much they cost. Are we talking a good Christmas present for the wife?

I recently got a nice Panawal from you, Craig, but Christmas is coming on and I think I may be in need for another. Got any nice ones on hand?

Omrie: Check out the thread (which I think you already did) on the mini-mes and the micro-mes.
