New Models

you have no freakin clue buddy, no freakin clue.

oh i have a clue, hence the whining....if i had no clue i'd have no knives :D

now me, my clue, and my knives are sitting in my apartment with no money and no hope for money in the future...hehe

Hi Thomas, thanks for the update.
Will the framelock Scallion have the same blade steel like the original or will it be an upgrade?

I’m so broke right not I shouldn’t be reading this thread about release dates. They could be postponed another month and I still wouldn’t have the money:( Oh well, when I do get the money I know what I’m getting though;)

Thomas, hope you have a great time in Hawaii and still manage to get work done.
Say hello to Ken for us and remind him how much we enjoy his visits to the forum.

I love the OD handled knives, particularly with black coated blades. I know its a PITA for a short run, but then we really wouldn't have to worry about rust.
Otherwise the stonewashed is fine.

I think it is important to note that right now I'm sitting on my balcony in Hawaii enjoying the view, and my fellow co-workers invited me out for a day of fun in the sun, yet here I am with all of you. Just me and Jameson.

I hope this proves where my heart is at.

Oh, yes! Definitely!

Hoping you don't stay 'here' too long ... you deserve a little Hawaiian fun.

420HC on all Scallions.

Any chance of something better? Maybe a sprint run with zdp, I won't even ask for TI handles. List price about $100 and street price $60ish. Think about anyway it would be a great knife. Maybe a Shallot to go with it out of the same steel. Or a Random Leek, no hurry 2009 or so would be fine with me.

We don't have anything planned as far a a higher end Scallion. The only way it would happen would be for a dealer/distributor to step up.

Although now that I think of it, there may be a short run of Damascus frame lock Scallion's on the books for mid-year.

I'm at the airport now for anyone that's keeping track of my schedule.

You guys NEED to make a shallot with a titanium framelock and a high-end blade steel - ZDP-189, S30V, SG2, any one would work. I would shed tears of joy!

Perhaps I'm barking up the wrong tree, but it would be nice if some of the Speedsafe knives had detent holes in the blades so they could be converted to manual as well...but that's just me dreaming I suppose...

Thomas, are there any special edition Needs Works slated to come out this year, or ever for that matter? (ZDP/Ti would be nice...)

No, nothing really on the Need's Work.

Have seen some anodized aluminum variation proto's floating around, but to date they are just samples. The black DLC version was out on a short run, but there was no steel change on it. We also did some colored scales (red, blue, green, brown, and gray) Need's Work for a Snap-On promo, but again the steel was 13C26.

To again answer your question, no, there are not any "special" NW's slated.
