To all my good friends of HI forum:

HI has come to another of Life's crossroads. As a Budhist I know change is constant, it is when things attempt to stop that problems most often occur.

The shop has had problems, and with a new shop manager and new kamis we are turning that around. Our forum needs change too. I've decided moderators on HI forum will be a 'tour of duty', and will be temporary, with a rotation so that many people will have an opportunity to participate in managing the forum we love. Bill was very special and unique. No one can replace him. He led by not being a leader, by letting the forum lead. We will honor him and that philosophy. I can think of no better way than by accepting the efforts of those who want to help, giving their best, then stepping aside to allow other contributions. Our forum needs to be free and happy once again.

I have asked Tedwa,(Ted) and Steely gunz, (Jake) to become our new moderators. Let's thank Nasty and Yvsa for their efforts, and welcome the new moderators today.

Thank you Yandu, I'm honored. I will do my best to keep the forum running smoothly. I'd also like to thank Nasty and Yvsa for their efforts.

Thank you for the vote of faith, Yangdu, and a HUGE Thank You to Yvsa and Nasty for doing the thankless job of moderation. I am truly honored and very, very humbled for being given the opportunity to add to the mosaic that is the History of Himalayan Imports.

Oh, and Steve? I personally will be relying on fellow "old hands" to sort of demonstrate the tone and "flavor" of the Cantina to the new guys. I'd be tickled pink if my mod services were never needed.

I want to take the time to thank all of guys and gals that have been around, stuck it out, and hung in there to keep this forum one of the truly unique places on the net.

to the new crew and the old, thanks. keeping the faith is sometimes hard and often thankless, but y'all are appreciated more than you know.
 
I think we'll need to see pictures of Ted and Jake in red before we can make a final call... :D

Before they achieve full status as moderators, shouldn't someone check their performance?

Where I come from, you can't be a moderator until you can demonstrate your ability to reduce the local flux of neutrons! :eek:
