I called up Mooremaker last week to order a Stockman.
Finally decided to purchase a large version instead of the med versions I'm used to buying.
So I talked to Dave Moore who, by the way is a very personable gentleman, and asked him what colors their 4 1/4" Stockman comes in. He said they have a few of this and that and Burnt Orange. I like the Burnt Orange as I'd already purchased a Trapper in Jigged Burnt Orange, so I said I'd take one of those. Dave said that there were 10 or so left and he'd look thru them and pick the nicest one for me. Well, it arrived the other day and I was completely blown away. The smooth Burnt Orange bone scales are absolutely gorgeous! Fit and finish are first rate. Almost no blade wobble on any of the 3 blades. The only thing that bugged me was that the Sheepsfoot blade stuck out of the handle too much when closed. Five minutes of judicious use with a Dremel tool on the blade kick took care of that.
I really think that this could be the one knife that ends up in my pocket every day (beside the large Sebenza and Victorinox Ranger).
