Is this news to anyone else or am I late to the party?

Looks pretty interesting! A little over a full 1/8" thick and I bet the tang, given the name and marketing, is likely wide like on the Bushcraft Force. The piggybacking sheath makes me wonder how long it'll take someone to make a necklace out of them. :D
 
A Mora with a 3mm blade sounds interesting. I'm guess that's supposed to be 3.2mm?
 
Yeah--in Europe they use commas instead of periods.

Personally I hope they come out with a Mora in a high saber grind or full flat some day. Like a 2k's tip only all the way down the blade. The extra grinding would raise the price, but it would be worth it, to me at least!

Was gonna say it's probably competition for the Hultafors HD.
The Hultafors has a better sheath IMO

I dunno'...the sheath on the HighQ Robust is a slight variant on the Companion series and the Companion sheaths are actually pretty darn impressive!
 
Meh...I hate thick scandis.:barf: I don't see what's wrong with the thin ones that needed fixing personally.

Apparently in Sweden they do! It's consistent throughout their site. Seen it on plenty of sites that use Euro currency, but it's true that I made a broad generalization.

I agree with Shotgun in that I find thin Scandi's preferable, but lots of folks seem to like the thicker ones. Could be fun to put a full-height convex on it, though! :D
 
Personally, I find it kinda sad that Mora is jumping on the "thicker is better" bandwagon. But I suppose they need to meet current demand.

People can pretty-much do everything they'll ever need with a basic & skinny Mora #1, -if they knew what they were doing.

^Bolded for emphasis. Most people DON'T. :p I love a thin blade. :thumbup: Like I said, I think it would be fun to get one of the Robust models and convert it from a Scandi into a thinner grind.
 
How am I going to chop down a tree with a Mora #1?!? Obviously I'm not going to bring an Axe into the woods with me...come on, that would just be dumb. :D Do you have any idea how often I need to chop down trees when I'm in the woods?!? Literally all the time

So it looks like they are aiming for their domestic market
Who else uses a fixed blade on a construction site?
