I wanted to get one of these in hand to see if I would like it, and the drop-dead gorgeous cocobolo lured me in. While I love the wood, and the fit and finish, I think that the knife is just too big for my smallish hands. Speaking of fit and finish, besides some of the best cocobolo I have seen lately, this example has near perfect transitions at the bolster corners compared to most of my GECs. The centering is maybe a tad towards the pile side, but almost perfect.
The knife is basically new. I took it out of the bag, wiped it down, and put it in my display for a week. I am carrying it in my pocket today, just to make sure that I didnt want to keep it after all. It has not cut a thing. The knife has a few faint markings on the soft nickel silver bolsters, but those probably have been there since it came in the mail. I will include the new leather Northwoods pocket slip with it, and it will ship in the labeled bag from KSF.
I know that Derrick still has several of these for sale at retail, so my loss is your gain (the wood figuring on this one is nicer than any of the ones at retail anyway

I had a question about if it could be pinch opened, so here is a short video I just took at my desk. Pull is a 6 or 7, and doable with a pinch once you get used to it.
