Well, after receiving the forum knife just shy of a year ago (can't believe it's been that long) I knew that Nick obviously made a kickass knife, and was very cool to deal with. I had gotten rid of all my large knives because small to medium sized blades are most useful to me. But that left a hole in my bladeware choices. I wanted something different anyway. Something light, and not clunky, and of course with a great handle. So why not go the guy who made my favorite medium sized knife to make me a large knife? ;) And this thing turned out awesome. Enough rambling, he just sent me this pic and I had to share :thumbup::thumbup:

He is also making a knife slightly smaller than the forum knife for me on my design, I'll post more when I get them.

Beautiful! Love the Hamon.

I may have to sell my forum knife, I need the cash, but I am trying to find every way to raise it without selling my NWA knife. That would be a sad day.

Thanks Thayne, you're too kind. It is amazing that the "forum knife" project is almost a year old now. I just finished with the orig. orders:thumbup:

It will be in your hands very soon friend.

Nick:)

Thanks man, I cannot wait to get ahold of these. Just in time for camping and backpacking trips coming up

I am really liking the color and grain on that Micarta. Looks almost like osage orange!

I would cry if I were you, but I think you would easily find a buyer if you have to sell it. Please look my way if you do. :)

That is one heck of a knife!

It may be nit-picky, but isn't that a quench line and not a hamon? (still beautiful)

 man.. what a beauty T.. i like it... nick's work is top notch...

EDIT: i'm waaaaaay jealous of this one...

What a Knife! (I too am so jealous) What are the specs on it, again?

Specs are O1 steel, 7" blade, 3/16ths" thick. Normally knives in this size range are 1/4", but I asked him to make it in this thickness. I feel with the great heat treat Nick does, 3/16ths will be plenty stout and it will be much lighter and easier to use overall.

Dang. Thats sweet. Nick's stuff blows me away. He's good.

To me the real beauty lies in the subtle things. That new gently curved plunge line, the temper line, the perfect shaped handle. I can't wait to get ahold of this one!

Hey guys, I'm new here. Can anyone fill me in a bit about the NWA knives. That is a beautiful blade.

I could forsee and smaller NWA and a Larger NWA that the forum knife but You know me ,all need the same Green micarta...gotta match ! Dang it bro !!! you got my wheels turning .....
