Hi All,
Got this beauty from Nick at NWA on Friday.
My apologies for the crappy pictures. Couldn't do much about the
lighting, but I'll get some better pictures when I get a chance to
get out and get using this beauty.

Ok, one of those knives is pretty tiny or the other one is just a beast. Specs please? Do I see a hammon there? Diferentially heat treated? Beautiful knives anyway.
Mikel

PD: Not a fan of such a big choil in the bottom one though.

Both are really beautiful knives!

Is one or both the "new" one?

Details, specs...:D

Sorry follks...was kinda skimpy on the details eh?:o

The top one is the Sierra Scout (aka NWA forum knife)
I've had it for about a year now
Blade is 5" handle is ***Brazilian Rosewood***
Handle is actually Bolivian Rosewood not Brazilian Rosewood.
Thanks Nick for correcting me on that

The bottom one is my new one, the Camp Knife
Blade is 9" and the handle is also ***Brazilian Rosewood***

The pictures are crappy due to poor lighting, but I'll post some better
pictures when I can.
Both knives have a very nice hamon, with the Scout starting to get a
nice patina.
Hopefully tomorrow I'll get some better lighting for pictures.

Here's a picture for size comparison
Above it is a Becker BK9 and below it is a Scrapyard SOD CG

I agree Simon,

…I got to play with Tony’s knife last week and was quite impressed.

A savage camp knife.

they look great, the matching wood scales are sweet  Nicks camp knife really makes a nice companion to the forum knife.

Thanks for all of the replys here fellas:thumbup: That wood on this knife really is sweet. Bolivian Rosewood is one of my Fav's.

I'm truly happy you like it Dave

Thanks for being so patient with me

Nick:)

Nice score on those knives! I am still impressed with the wicked edge he put on my Camp knife. It cuts absolutely great for a knife thats a 1/4" thick!

Hey Mikel,

I am not a big fan of choils either. However on that large camp knife it makes finer work much easier, matter of fact it makes it a pleasure!

I really don't see the point of a choil on a smaller knife at all, I prefer as little ricasso as possible so I don't HAVE to choke up on it. With only a few inches of blade, I don't want to "waste" any, I want it all sharp.

But I can definitely see your point that a choil is actually useful on a big knife without taking away from its efficacy. Thanks for making me rethink that :)

Regardless, this NWA character makes some mighty fine knives! I can recognize his work at almost a glance, his designs shine as his own. Most(all?) of his stuff I've seen has that cool, balanced-looking 4-pin pattern and I think that rocks. Way to establish a style for yourself, Nick!

Savage, they are well worth the wait!
Tony, great pics. I can't wait to get out and try mine.:D
Nick, thanks for the correction on the handle wood. Bolivian, not Brazilian.:o
I thought it was Brazilian.

This is a great knife, well worth the money.
Didn't post pictures of the sheath, but it is an absolute beauty too.
I'll fit the sheath into the next set of pictures I post up.

Thanks again Nick.

Wow, both are superb looking. I love the lines on NWA knives, really great design/shape and they seem pretty comfy in hand based on what I've read so far. I really like the forum knife, is it still possible to get one of those, or was that a limited one-time thing?

Man, I have been holding out on ordering one these until I saw all those pictures. All those knive look great. Post some more guys.
