Just got this in an estate sale. Larger one behind the 150# Peter Wright.
Image shows numbers 290 on the left then another set of numbers preceded by an inverted V. 33 1/2" total length, 13 3/4" height. Platform is 20 1/4 X 4 3/4. It weighs exactly 290 pounds. Great steel ball bounce test! Platform is flat...wide angle camera shot makes it look odd.

Any ideas who might have made this? I can't see any other marks.

I also have a smaller fisher that I think is 120# but I can't remember it was marked (clamped down and bolted down). I suspect the mark is hidden but I seem to remember that it did have a weight designation.

Thanks for you help with all this -

Nice looking anvil you scored. In Richard Postman's book "Anvils In America" from location of the marked weight and serial number, it is a Trenton made in 1918.

You did good, 1.21 a pound, in this part of the country would bring many more $$$$. Your anvil looks like in mint condition, enjoy.
