Here is the latest addition to my Delica collection. It is a recent gunshow find and the man behind the table releived my wallet of $30.00 American.

My camera quality and photography skills not withstanding, you may be able to tell this old gentleman is NIB and sports an AUS-8 blade. The box contains the official Spyderco instruction sheet. I LOVE these old Delicas.

I probably have seen this before but.....was AUS-8 the original blade steel for the Delica? A Search provided a list of lots of different steels used in this model but not the original.

Also, can anyone estimate the date of manufacture?

Thanks,
dan :)

The original FRN Delicas were G2 ( that's what Gin 1 was called then). I'm not sure of the dates where the steels were switched . Joe
